We stopped here on the way home and what I thought would be a short stop turned into 45 minutes! It was very informative, but plan to spend some time. There is a 15 minute video and then the tour guides take you to the fort. You are escorted throughout the process. Kids will love it, however if it is really crowded, it may be hard to have them wait to go through all of the rooms.

This is an amazing place to visit. It makes you appreciate the modern day homes, beds, clothes etc. I am so greatful for what our Pioneers did for us and their example.
