Want to drive to some best places to see dinosaur bones and learn about them? The Dinosaur Diamond Scenic Byway is just the drive for you. Encompassing parts of eastern Utah and part of Colorado, this drive will not only take you to museums where you can learn about dinosaurs, but it will also let you see and touch the remains of them too. Add to that the breath taking natural landscapes you'll see, this drive is a fun one. Be sure to stop by Dinosaur Natural Monument, the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry and the Utah Field House of Natural History along the way. This is not a quick trip though. It's 480 miles and usually takes about 10 hours to go through.
Directions:
There is no real start or end to the diamond. From the top it starts at Vernal, UT and goes to Rangely, Fruita and Delta, CO. Then it comes back into Utah and hits Moab, Price and back up to Vernal.
